KARACHI: Children paint corruption

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, April 10: At a two-day poster exhibition, children from 180 schools of the city drew a horrible (but close to reality) picture of corruption that they see around themselves.

The exhibition titled, ‘Child’s view of corruption’, held at the Arts Council of Pakistan, was organised by the Transparency International Pakistan.

Majority of the posters made by students dealt with the corrupt law enforcement officers while others studied the impact of corruption on the society. Students of class VII to X participated in the event.

The idea of organising such activities was to create awareness among the kids of how corruption had damaged the infrastructure of the society, said the organisers.

Exhibition like these gives an opportunity to students to express themselves on issues confronting the society.

However, there were a few posters which seemed to be the brainchild of the teachers rather than the students.
