KARACHI, April 6: Arrangements have been finalised for by-elections on two town nazim and two UC seats in Karachi. Election for the Landhi Town nazim will be held on April 9 and for Bin Qasim Town nazim on April 12. Election for the nazim and naib nazim of two UCs of Baldia Town will be held on April 9.

The Haq Parast Group has fielded Asif Husnain and the Tameer-i-Karachi Group has nominated Iqbaluddin as candidates for the seat of Landhi Town nazim. A total of 156 voters from 12 UCs of Landhi Town will cast their vote in the election.

For the seat of Bin Qasim Town, there are three candidates. They are Umar Jat of Awam Dost, Bashir Ahmed of Haq Parast and Jan Aalam Jamot of the Jamot groups.

A total of 91 voters from seven UCs of the town will cast their vote. In the polling for the nazim and naib nazim of UC-2 (Ittehad Town) and UC-6 (Muslim Mujahid Colony) of Baldia Town, five different groups have fielded their candidates.—Online
