KARACHI, April 2: A walk titled ‘Green Walk’ was organized by Cantonment Board Clifton on Monday. A large number of people from different walks of life, mainly school students, participated in the walk. It started from Sea View Road near McDonalds and terminated at Sea View Road near Pizza Hut.

According to organisers the walk was aimed at creating awareness among the masses about a clean and green atmosphere, especially in the localities of Cantonment Board Clifton and Defence Housing Authority. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CBC Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed Mir, MNA Capt Akhlaq Abidi and former MNA Capt Haleem Siddiqui led the walk.

CEO of CBC asked the participants to keep their localities clean and green. He added that the CBC and DHA would provide free of cost plants to residents of the area in order to promote horticulture in the localities. He also planted a sapling at Sea View to mark the spring season.
