PESHAWAR, Feb 28: A plan has been prepared for repatriation of Afghan refugees. The repatriation will begin from March 1 and continue till the end of 2007.

This was decided in a meeting which discussed matters relating to the closure of Afghan refugee camps at Kacha Garhi and Jalozai near Peshawar.

It has been reported that the meeting held on Tuesday, discussed a plan to permanently close the refugee camps near Peshawar. The meeting was attended by representatives of the interior department, police, Afghan commissioner and officials dealing with the Afghan refugees.

Officials said that Afghan refugees living in the camps were being asked either to go back to their homeland or shift to other camps.
