By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 28: The Academic Committee of the Secondary Board of Education in Karachi on Wednesday decided the examination for class nine will start from May 15.

The meeting of the Academic Committee was held following the decision taken by the Committee of Chairmen of secondary boards of Sindh that the examination for class nine would be held under separate exam system after the governor’s orders to suspend the implementation on composite exam system for the time being.

Under Karachi Board, the Class IX examination will start from May 15 while the Class X examination will begin from April 17. Besides the Karachi Board, all other boards in Sindh will hold Class IX and X exams from April 17.

The Academic Committee meeting reviewed the syllabus taught in schools under its jurisdiction and observed that Book-II of Biology and Chemistry

had not been used during the year.
