KARACHI, Feb 3: Two container ships were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another ship with high speed diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 40 per cent as only four ships, Maersk Arkansas, Lucian, Annie Sierra and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 39,008 tons comprising 27,465 tons of import and 11,543 tons of export tonnage was handled.
