KARACHI, Jan 19: Seven ships including a car carrier with 1,200 cars are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four vessels, Kota Perkasa, Tai He and Jade-c to unload and load containers and Positive Leader to offload 2,500 cars were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M.Moon, and Swat, while Andino Park, Tai He, El Tango, Kota Perkasa, Darya Yog, Annika, Jade Trader and Jade-C are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage rose to 0.106m tons comprising 29,508 tons of export cargo and 76,486 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Bunga Terasek, Saudi Dirlyah, Mol Ability, with containers, Union Ranger, with steel scrap, Grand Duke, with 1,200 cars, Luni Castle, and Love Song, with general cargo.
