KARACHI, Dec 22: Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad on Friday aerially monitored the city's situation for about one-and-a-half-hour in the wake of the strike call given by religious party.

Accompanied by Advisor Home Waseem Akhtar and Director General Rangers Maj. Gen. Javed Zia, the governor kept himself full abreast with the situation.

He said that a hype had been created and conspiracy hatched to engineer an ethnic clash in the city which was defused with the cooperation of people.

The situation generally remained peaceful and the government emerge successful in its objective that the life and property of the people remained safe and secure, he stated.—APP
