PESHAWAR, Dec 11: NWFP Minister for Information Asif Iqbal Daudzai has directed the Peshawar Electricity Supply Corporation (Pesco) to expedite the pace of work on electricity supply projects in his constituency, PF-8 Peshawar.

He issued these directives at a meeting with the Pesco chief executive here on Monday.

The minister was informed on the occasion that under TSP-2005-06, an amount of Rs5.5 million had been allocated for various electricity supply projects in PF-8 Peshawar, most of which had been completed.

He thanked the Pesco chief executive for providing electricity to Hariyana Feeder, thereby solving a longstanding problem of the people.

He also directed the authorities concerned to repair the damaged electricity transformers and stop unscheduled loadshedding in the locality.

The Pesco chief executive assured the minister that he would take prompt steps in this regard.—APP
