Textile bail-out package soon

Published December 10, 2006

FAISALABAD, Dec 9: The government will announce the bail out package for textile sector soon as measures are being finalized.

Federal minister for textile industry Mushtaq Ali Cheema said this while talking to private entrepreneurs and exporters on Saturday.

He expressed his willingness to announce the package before the Heimtextil Fair scheduled to be held next January, but said owing to certain technicalities, the finishing touches could not be made. However, the time available now would be utilized to thrash out the package from different angles in consultation with the stakeholders.

He said that the package would be announced after the return of the prime minister from abroad. — Our Correspondent
