KARACHI: Heads of boards meet on June 3

KARACHI, May 25: The Committee of Chairmen of educational boards in the Sindh province will meet in Karachi on June 3 to determine the modus operandi for annual examinations of 9th class commencing from June 20 under the boards.

This was stated by the chief of the COC, Anwar Ahmed Zai, while talking to APP on Thursday.

All six boards of Sindh will implement the same schedule for their examinations.

It is estimated that there are a total number of 400,000 9th class candidates in the province.

Anwar Zai said that the meeting would also review the equivalence marks of A and O levels vis-à-vis the matriculation system.

He stated that at present, five per cent of marks of O level students are deducted, which is 10 per cent for those countries where there is no external equivalence.

Participants of the meeting would look into its rationale and would review whether there was any need for a change in such an arrangement.—APP
