KARACHI: Two gangsters held

KARACHI, April 24: Two gangsters of a notorious gang were arrested in a joint raid by Rangers and police in Lyari on Monday morning followed by recovery of explosives, unlicensed weapons and narcotics.

Rangers and Lyari Task Force of the police, headed by SP Aslam Khan, raided a house and arrested Shehzad alias Charlie and Altaf. Both the suspects are believed to be associated with the notorious gang of Rehman Dakait. Shehzad carried a reward money of Rs300,000.

According to the spokesman for Rangers, the raid was planned after intelligence information about the presence of some notorious criminals at a house in Lyari.

He said that the arrest of the suspects was followed by recovery of two kilograms of explosives, one Kalashnikov rifle, two TT pistols, five grenades, one rocket launcher and its five shells, seven kilograms of charas, and 250 rounds of bullets.
