KARACHI, April 22: The Nazim of Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town, Muhammad Wasey Jalil, visited different parts of the town to review the ongoing development works. He went to blocks 3, 4, 6 and 7 of UC-9 in this regard.

He examined the road being constructed behind Allah Noor Apartments, from Gulshan College to Shabbir Ahmad Usmani Road, and the cleaning and renovation of drains along the Nazia and Imtiaz apartment buildings in Block-6.

Moreover, he inspected the work of cleaning and construction of a drain along the road adjacent to the Gulshan police station and a nearby drain at the Dewa Academy and Gulshan-i-Ayesha in Block-6.

He also examined the work of laying down of a new sewerage line between the Siddique-i-Akbar Mosque and the KDA Market in Block-3.

The nazim directed laying down a new sewerage line from Block 7 to Al-Nisa Hall in UC 9 as soon as possible, which would improve the sewerage system of blocks 6 and 7.

He said the work of shifting of sewerage lines form the Rang Illahi Hospital to the Rabbani Mosque had been started in Block 4, while road construction in Block-3 would start soon.

Meanwhile, the town nazim inspected construction of a road between blocks 8 and 9 in UC-6 and cleanliness and reconstruction of drains in the union council.

He issued directives to concerned officers to provide relief to the masses by completing uplift works as soon as possible.—PPI
