By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Dec 27: Hungary’s companies are keen to invest in various sectors in Pakistan, says the Budapest’s ambassador to Islamabad Bela Fazekas. He said this in a meeting with Secretary Commerce Syed Asif Shah here on Tuesday.

An official announcement said the two sides exchanged information on bilateral trade relations between the two countries during the meeting.

Both sides agreed that the potential for increasing the volume of two-way trade should be tapped to strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Hungary’s ambassador said his country would also welcome Pakistani private investment in Hungary particularly in its tourist resorts.

The secretary commerce requested Hungary’s help in supporting Pakistan’s request for the suspension of anti-dumping duty levied on bed-linen. The ambassador assured that he would convey Pakistan’s request to his government.
