PESHAWAR, Dec 14: The NWFP University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, will set up an entrepreneur development centre in collaboration with SMEDA, officials say.

A PC-1 would soon be submitted to the Higher Education Commission for approval, they said. The centre would train the graduates in the area of free enterprise.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the UET and Small and Medium Enterprise Authority here on Monday, a press release said. The MoU was signed by the vice-chancellor of the university Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani and SMEDA's Senior Vice-President Tariq Mashwani.

In a ceremony held at the UET, the vice-chancellor stressed the need to exploit the available resources for resolution of problems and said: "This can only be done through mutual cooperation between the UET and industries," he said.
