KARACHI: Rabi-ul-Awal procession

KARACHI, April 25: Students from different branches of Madressatul Madina, on Sunday, brought out a procession in connection with the auspicious occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal. The procession under the aegis of Dawat-i-Islami started from Nishter Park and terminated at Boultan Market's New Memon Masjid after passing through M.A. Jinnah Road.

Senate chairman Mohammedmian Soomro, Sindh Health Minister Naeem Ishtiaq, Sindh IGP Syed Kamal Shah, members of national and provincial assemblies, and other prominent figures also participated in the procession.

In view of security arrangements on Eid Miladun Nabi, IGP Sindh Syed Kamal Shah issued directives for maintenance of law and order, PPI adds. The orders were issued to CCPO Karachi, Regional Police Officers Hyderabad and Sukkur on Sunday.

The IGP directed the officials to formulate a comprehensive strategy for fool proof security arrangements for the processions, walks and other events being organized in connection with the Eid.

The IGP asked the organizers of processions, marches, and other events to contact Madadgar 15, TPO, DPO or CCPO Control Room at Ph: 9211313 in case of any suspicious activity.

DIG Traffic was directed to form a traffic plan regarding Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations and issue alternate routes so that smooth flow of traffic could be maintained.
