KARACHI: Zamir Ali passes away

KARACHI, Oct 21: Known literary critic and broadcaster Zamir Ali Badayooni breathed his last on Monday. He was 63.

Retired as a controller of Radio Pakistan three years ago, he had been ailing for some time. He leaves behind a widow, three sons and a daughter.

He was buried at the Sakhi Hasan graveyard. Soyem will be held on Wednesday (Oct 22) after Zuhar prayers at Madni Masjid, Block 5, near Samdani Hospital, Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

Zamir Ali Badayooni was awarded Abdul Haq Award by Adbiat Pakistan for his literary contribution. The late writer was the author of a famous volume — Jadidiat and Ma baad Jadidiat.—HA
