GUJRANWALA, Oct 1: A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday accepted the bail application of an accused involved in the Chianwali church bomb case.

The ATC No 2, Gujranwala, had rejected the bail application of Afzal, and declared Muhammad Rashid as proclaimed offender.
The accused was detained in Gujranwala jail where the bomb blast case was being tried by the ATC in jail premises for security reason.
Meanwhile, a local court confirmed the bail of a primary schoolstudent and his father involved in a brawl case.

THRASHED: Villagers thrashed members of a joint raiding team of Gepco and police when they tried to sever their illegal electricity connections in Sheikhwan Talwandi Musa Khan village on Wednesday.
The Talwandi Musa Khan sub-division SDO received an information that some villagers were stealing power from the main supply lines. At this, he conducted the raid there along with his staff and tried to sever their connections. But the villagers thrashed them with fists and kicks.
Later, the team sought police help and again raided there, but were thrashed once again. However, the defaulters fled when the police tried to arrest them.
