KARACHI, April 24: The Information Technology Board (ITB) will consist of 13 members with a chairman and two vice-chairmen, and five of the members will be drawn from the public sector and five others from the private sector.
This was stated by adviser to the Sindh chief minister on finance, Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, while presiding over a special meeting of the ITB.
He said the ITB would function under the department of information technology which would devise necessary rules and regulations.
Mr Shaikh said the government was well aware of the significance of the information technology and that was why the new department had been set up.
The meeting also decided that there would be a director ITB to oversee its functioning.—APP
