KARACHI: 3,500 children suffering from blood diseases


KARACHI, April 14: About 3,500 children suffering from thalassemia and haemophilia are registered with the Fatimid Foundation and for these 80 to 90 bottles of blood is required daily.

This was stated by Dr Saghir Ahmed Shaikh of the Fatimid Foundation while speaking at a blood donation camp at Karachi University on Monday.

The camp was set up by the Department of Sociology, University of Karachi, in collaboration with the Fatimid Foundation, Karachi.

Dr. Fateha Mohammad Burfat and Prof. Dr. Raana Saba also spoke.—APP
