KARACHI, Jan 27: Seven ships carrying containers, general cargo, chemicals and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

A local flag ship, Islamabad is also due to load 15,000 tons of rice for a foreign destination.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where two ships, Bunga Masempat and Panos-G to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Jamila, E.O.S.I, Bunga Masempat, China Star, Prince, Power and Uni-Tank, while NRA Dream, Panos-G, Mar Challenger, Honor River and Sima Bahar are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 64,371 tons comprising 8,387 tons of export cargo and 55,984 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Islamabad to load rice, Streano Iuliano, to load molasses, Ievoli Shine, with chemicals, Kota Berani, APL Jeddah, Kota Wijaya and PONL Thekwini, with containers.
