RAWALPINDI, Dec 9: Thin attendance was registered at all offices as well as educational institutions here on Monday, the first working day after Eid.

No work was carried out at the offices whereas, only a few teaching sessions were held at the government schools.

In Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), majority of the officers and subordinate staff were absent. Many former and serving army officers

as well as political figures visited the board office and exchanged Eid greetings with a few cantonment officials present there.

The number of residents who visited the RCB was also low.

Similarly, attendance at the Tehsil Municipal Administration was also thin. Infact it was even less than that of the RCB.

The Tehsil Nazim is in Lahore in connection with some training arranged especially for the Nazimeen. However, the Tehsil municipal officer was present in his office, but met only a selected group of people.
