KARACHI, Oct 29: Three ships carrying chemicals, furnace oil and containers were allotted berths at Engro Vopak Terminal, Steel Jetty and Qasim International Container Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, another ship carrying containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, New Guardian, United Trader, Lobelia, City of Edinburgh, Qem Star and Sun were at the berths loading/discharging wheat, containers, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 31,051 tons comprising 18,018 tons of import cargo and 13,033 tons of export cargo, inclusive of cargo carried in 1,100 containers (Teus) was handled.

Lobelia sailed out, while Qem Star was expected to leave the port on Tuesday.

Three ships, Male, Astro Pegasus and Msc Deila were expected to take berths at Marginal Wharf, Fotco Oil Terminal and Qasim International Container Terminal, respectively, on Tuesday.
