PESHAWAR, Sept 28: Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah laid the foundation-stones of two railway underpasses at the Rahman Baba Chowk on Friday.

The two underpasses would be constructed at the northern and southern portions of the existing railway underpass at the Rehman Baba Chowk near the provincial assembly building.

ECO-TOURISM: The governor at a function organized by the provincial tourism department to observe the World Tourism Day said that human resource development and promotion of tourism in the province could ensure sustainable development and economic strength.

The function was titled “Eco-tourism - The Key to Sustainable Development”.

#EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT:# Mr Iftikhar stressed the need for effective management and governing system as well as sustainable resource mobilization for the local governments.

He was speaking at the closing session of second Citywide Consultative Workshop and Peshawar City Development Strategy at a local hotel.

The governor said that the decision making process should be transparent and all the stakeholders should be involved in it.
