70 more securities settled thru NCSS

KARACHI, Sept 23: In addition to the 80 securities already settled through the National Clearing & Settlement System (NCSS), another 70 securities have been declared eligible for clearing and settlement through the NCSS with effect from September 25, a press release issued by the Central Depository Company (CDC) on Monday said.

It stated that the on-going phased implementation of the NCSS, with its technologically advanced features such as automated pay & collect system had introduced extraordinary transparency and expediency in the clearing process. The CDC press release stated that the 70 securities to be inducted from September 25, would be settled under the Balance Order System and include the following: Allwin Engineering Industries; Atlas Battery; Atlas Honda; Baluchistan Wheels; Ghandhara Nissan Diesel; Pakistan Cables; Dadex Eternit; Pakistan Slag Cement; Abbott Industries; Aventis Pharma; Wyeth Pakistan; Berger Paints; Dawood Hercules; Ferozsons Laboratories; Glaxo Wellcome; KSB Pumps; Pakistan Engineering; National Foods; Mitchell’s Fruit Farms; Clover Pakistan; Ismail Industries; Murree Brewery; Altern Energy; International General Insurance; Muslim Insurance; Orient Insurance; Trust Investment Bank; Saudi Pak Commercial Bank; Prudential Investment Bank; Investec Securities; Meezan Bank; Thal Jute; Capital Assets Leasing; Lease Pak; Natover Lease & Refinance; Pakistan Ind. & Com.
