KARACHI, Sept 20: A container ship was allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Five ships, Enricher, Corinna, Francisca Schulte, Pearl of Jubail Ali and Linda Oldendroff were at the berths loading/ offloading wheat, containers and general cargo and iron ore respectively.

A cargo volume of 23,547 tons comprising 15,025 tons of import and 8,522 tons of export tonnage, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 610 containers (Teus), was handled.

Three ships, Msc Corinaa, Warbah and Linda Oldendroff sailed while Pearl of Jubail Ali was due to leave on Friday.

Three ships E-Trader, Entalina and Ulyesses were expected to take berths at Steel Jetty and Multipurpose Terminal. League was due to arrive.
