SIALKOT, March 19: Jack Saeed Ghafar, Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan, has said that there are bright opportunities of setting up joint ventures between the two countries in different trade fields.

He stated this while addressing a joint meeting of local traders, industrialists and exporters, at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), on Tuesday. He also visited various industrial units in Sambrial, Daska and Sialkot city.

Ghafar stated that Indonesia and Pakistan were enjoying healthy trade relations and it was high time that effective efforts should be made for further strengthening these trade ties through accelerating the pace of mutual trade activities. He offered some direct trade relations to Sialkot business community for enhancing mutual trade.

He assured the business community about early provision of up-to-date trade information of Indonesia, adding that these information would be helpful to know about the Indonesian markets.

Earlier, president Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) briefed the Indonesian envoy about the unique export culture of Sialkot.

Welcoming the offer of joint ventures with Indonesian business community, the SCCI president hoped that it would be helpful in promoting the mutual trade activities and enhancing the exports of both countries.
