KARACHI: Seized tapes, horns destroyed

KARACHI, Dec 3: About 4,240 tape recorders and pressure horns, confiscated by the traffic police during different drives, were destroyed at the Central Police Office here on Monday in the presence of the Inspector-General of Sindh Police, Syed Kamal Shah.

The destroyed items included 2,005 pressure horns and 2,235 tape recorders.

The IG instructed that the drive against pressure horns and tape recorders should continue with legal action against those violating traffic laws.

There had been growing complaints from people travelling in buses and minibuses against the use of tape recorders.—APP
