KARACHI, Feb 19: The Karachi Boat Club (KBC) recently took part in the 69th ARAE/FEARA Regatta hosted by the Balgoda Lake Rowing Club in Sri Lanka from Feb 4 to 7.

Clubs from UAE, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Singapore and Pakistan took part in the event where KBC won two gold, three silver and one bronze medals in various competitions.

Results:ARAE women’s double scull:

1. Karachi Boat Club (Manal Kamran and Sama Khawaja); 2. Colombo Rowing Club, Sri Lanka; 3. Colombo Rowing Club.

ARAE women’s coxed fours:

1. Colombo Rowing Club; 2. Madras Boat Club, India; 3. Karachi Boat Club (Manal Kamran, Mashal Tariq Khan, Malika Niazi, Sama Khawajaand Maherdil Babai (cox).

ARAE men’s doubles scull:

1. Colombo Rowing Club; 2. Karachi Boat Club (Imran Khan and Maherdil Babai); 3. Colombo Rowing Club.

ARAE men’s coxed fours:

1. Colombo Rowing Club; 2. Karachi Boat Club (Maherdil Babai, Imran Khan, Azeem Naeem Adamjee, Mirwaise Babai and Sama Khawaja(cox).

FEARA men’s coxed fours:

1. Karachi Boat Club (Anil Shehzad, Arif Ikram, Asif Adam, Khurram Khawaja and Sama Khawaja (cox); 2. Bengal Rowing Club, India; 3. LakeClub.

FEARA men’s pairs:1. Bolgoda Lake Rowing Club, Sri Lanka; 2. Karachi Boat Club (Asif Adam and Khurram Khawaja); 3. Bengal Rowing Club.
