KARACHI, Feb 19: The Karachi Boat Club (KBC) recently took part in the 69th ARAE/FEARA Regatta hosted by the Balgoda Lake Rowing Club in Sri Lanka from Feb 4 to 7.
Clubs from UAE, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Singapore and Pakistan took part in the event where KBC won two gold, three silver and one bronze medals in various competitions.
Results: ARAE women’s double scull:
1. Karachi Boat Club (Manal Kamran and Sama Khawaja); 2. Colombo Rowing Club, Sri Lanka; 3. Colombo Rowing Club.
ARAE women’s coxed fours:
1. Colombo Rowing Club; 2. Madras Boat Club, India; 3. Karachi Boat Club (Manal Kamran, Mashal Tariq Khan, Malika Niazi, Sama Khawaja and Maherdil Babai (cox).
ARAE men’s doubles scull:
1. Colombo Rowing Club; 2. Karachi Boat Club (Imran Khan and Maherdil Babai); 3. Colombo Rowing Club.
ARAE men’s coxed fours:
1. Colombo Rowing Club; 2. Karachi Boat Club (Maherdil Babai, Imran Khan, Azeem Naeem Adamjee, Mirwaise Babai and Sama Khawaja (cox).

1. Karachi Boat Club (Anil Shehzad, Arif Ikram, Asif Adam, Khurram Khawaja and Sama Khawaja (cox); 2. Bengal Rowing Club, India; 3. Lake Club.
