RAWALPINDI: Students from Gujar Khan, Murree and Talagang grabbed the first three positions in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination 2026 of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi.
The overall pass percentage in the examination remained 61.31.
The main ceremony of declaring the results was held at Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi. PML-N MNA and party’s district President Malik Abrar Ahmed attended the ceremony as the special guest.
Parliamentary Secretary for Information Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry, MPA Asma Naz Abbasi, Riffat Abbasi, BISE Chairman Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood, Secretary Prof Amjad Iqbal Khattak, Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan and the position holding students along with their parents and teachers were also present.
A total of 120,411 candidates participated in the matriculation first annual examination. The success rate of male students was 51.99 per cent and that of female students 70.18 per cent.

Overall, Mohammad Manan Ehtesham from Al Amir Foundation Public Secondary School for Boys Daultala, Gujar Khan, secured the first position by scoring 1191 marks, Zunira Tahir from Presentation Convent High School for Girls Pindi Point Murree obtained second position by scoring 1180 marks and Mohammad Fasih Abdullah from Cambridge International Boys Secondary School Talagang clinched the third position with 1178 marks.
Speaking on the occasion, MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed congratulated the successful students, position holders, their parents and teachers and said that revolutionary reforms were being introduced in the education sector under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He said that the scholarship programme, laptop scheme and other educational initiatives are important steps towards empowering the younger generation. He said that the mhief minister is taking practical steps to align the educational standards with modern requirements and the promotion of merit and transparency had been made the top priority of the government.
Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said that students who achieved top positions in the SSC examination 2026 are not only the pride of their families but also the true asset of the nation and the foundation of Pakistan’s bright future.
He encouraged students to view success not as an endpoint but as a stepping stone toward further achievement and continuous self-improvement. He said education is a transformative force that shapes the destiny of nations, and students should embrace knowledge along with strong morals, honesty, discipline and respect for national values.
BISE Chairman Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood congratulated the position holders and successful students and said that education is the basis of development, prosperity and national stability.
He said that the Rawalpindi Board is continuing to take vigorous steps to promote merit, transparency and high educational standards.
Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan said the zero tolerance policy was strictly implemented in the examinations, as a result of which the exam process was completed in a transparent, fair and orderly manner.
