Missing girl found murdered in Talagang

CHAKWAL: A teenage girl who went missing six days ago was found murdered near Mogla village in Talagang on Friday.

Police sources told Dawn that the body of a 17-year-old girl was lying covered with grass near a shrine. Till the filing of this report the autopsy was not conducted. However, a police official told Dawn that there was blood stain on the face of the deceased while her nose was foaming as well.

A team of Punjab Forensic and Science Agency (PFSA) reached the spot and collected samples for forensic examination. The body of the deceased was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Talagang in the evening for autopsy.

“The deceased was living at her maternal uncle’s home for the last eight years as her mother passed away and her father contracted a second marriage”, a police official said.

On the night of July 24 and 25, the deceased was found missing and her maternal uncle got registered a case of her kidnapping against unknown persons.
