KARACHI: A multi-domain summit organised by the Sindh Youth Affairs Department has featured detailed discussions by experts on topics including artificial intelligence (AI), investment, fintech, health, smart cities, digital innovation, youth leadership and opportunities in modern technology.
Titled ‘Karachi Next AI & Innovation Summit 2026, the summit was inaugurated by Sports & Youth Affairs Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar here at a local hotel.
The event brought together people from diverse fields including government officials, CEOs, investors, developers and a large number of youth from across the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Ali Rashid has said that the country’s largest artificial intelligence (AI) centre is being established in the metropolis. He said the Sindh IT Tower will also be launched soon.
Mr Rashid highlighted that the Sindh government was making significant progress in the field of IT. He shared that under the Peoples Information Technology Programme, youth are being provided IT training and employment opportunities.
During the summit, a session on ‘Youth Volunteers & Social Action Projects (SAP)’ was also held, where seven teams of young volunteers from across the province presented their social welfare projects.
