Families seek recovery of missing sons

QUETTA: Two families of Quetta have appealed for the recovery of their missing sons, saying they have been unable to contact them for months and urging authorities to help trace their whereabouts.

Speaking at separate press conferences at the Quetta Press Club on Monday, Sanaullah, a resident of Quetta, said his son Zohaib went missing two weeks ago after leaving home and has not returned.

“There has been no contact with him,” Sanaullah said, adding that if his son has any links with an armed organisation, “neither I nor my family would be responsible”.

Separately, Noor Ali, a resident of the Sariab Mill area, said his son Muhammad Asif left home eight months ago after telling the family he was going to Karachi for an orthodontic course.

However, he said the family has had no contact with him for the past four months.

“If my son has become associated with any armed group during this period, our family has no relation with such affiliation,” Noor Ali said.

Both families urged the authorities to take immediate steps to recover their missing sons.
