At least 62 people have been killed across Gaza since dawn, Al Jazeera reports.

Citing “officials on the ground”, it said at least 52 of them have been killed in Gaza City, where Israel has launched a ground invasion to occupy the city.

Witnesses told AFP of relentless bombing of Gaza City, much of which is already in ruins after nearly two years of Israeli strikes October 2023.

“We can hear their screams,” said 25-year-old resident Ahmed Ghazal.
