Israeli forces have destroyed the al-Kawthar residential tower in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal neighbourhood, “less than two hours after residents were warned to leave”, an Al Jazeera correspondent on the ground reports.

In a post on Telegram, the Israeli army, without providing any evidence, alleged that Hamas was using the tower as an information-gathering base.
