FM Dar has presented the following seven urgent and essential steps for the Gaza crisis:

1. An immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire across Gaza andoccupied Palestinian territory with full implementation of UNSCresolutions
2. Unfettered, sustained and secure humanitarian access to allcivilians in need and the protection of aid workers, medical teamsand UN personnel.
3. Reinforce international support to UNRWA, which remains indispensable to thesurvival of millions of Palestinians, with the OIC playing aproactive role in this end
4. An end to forced displacement, illegal settlements and annexation ofPalestinian land, particularly in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
5. The implementation of the OIC’s reconstruction plan for Gaza, whichrepresents a vital framework for post-conflict recovery andrehabilitation, sustainable development and the restoration ofdignity of the people of Palestine
6. The revival of a genuine process to achieve a just, comprehensiveand a lasting two-state solution in accordance with intl law andrelevant UN and OIC resolutions
7. Accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity

Dar said Israel’s aim to occupy Gaza City would be a deliberate attempt to obliterate Palestinian existence and heritage that must be firmly opposed.

He also said that Israel must not be allowed to act with impunity in defiance of the UN Charter, international law and binding measures of the ICJ.
