Israel’s army says its troops killed a man who it identified as Muhammad Naif Abu Shamala, commander of a Nukhba company in Hamas’s military wing, Al Jazeera reports.

The killing came last Wednesday in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, the military statement said on Telegram.

It claimed the man was involved in the October 7, 2023 attack on an Israeli army post in southern Israel.
