‘More than 200’ patients’ lives at risk due to malnutrition and medicine shortage, says Gaza hospital director

The lives of more than 200 patients in Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital are in danger due to acute shortages of medicine and malnutrition, the hospital’s director has told Al Jazeera.

Mohammed Abu Salmiya said the hospital is overcrowded with patients wounded by relentless Israeli bombardments.

He said doctors were performing an increasing number of amputations due to not being able to combat infections of wounds.
