The armed wing of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement says its fighters have “destroyed” a group of Israeli soldiers and their vehicles in the al-Barasi area, south of Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood, with 60mm mortar shells, Al Jazeera reports.

The group said the attack was carried out in cooperation with the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, a coalition of armed factions in the Gaza Strip.
