The Israeli military continues to bomb Gaza City to deadly effect, and many Palestinians in the area, who have already been displaced many times, say they have nowhere else to go.

Amjad Shawa, director of the Palestinian NGO Network, said residents of the area are tired of being forcibly displaced repeatedly.

“I really don’t want to repeat this very tough experience of displacement,” he told Al Jazeera from Gaza City.

“This time it’s different from any other time. Now there is nothing to give to the people and it’s risky. We have to move elders who cannot walk, and we have patients and injured people who cannot move, we cannot leave them behind and we cannot give them services.”

He reminded that hospitals, water facilities and other infrastructure have been destroyed.

“I am calling for not only supplies to give important services to the people, but also to prevent this displacement because it will lead to more catastrophic conditions for the people of Gaza while they are exposed to a high risk of famine, thirst and diseases,” Shawa said.
