Iranian envoy appreciates Pakistan’s support during Israeli aggression
ISLAMABAD : The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Pakistani people and leadership for their unwavering support during Iran’s recent confrontation with Israel.
“At this historic moment, the Iranian people deeply appreciated Pakistan’s principled stance and unwavering solidarity in the face of Israeli aggression,” he said while talking to a group of media person here, who had visited the Iranian Embassy to offer prayers for those who died during Israeli aggression.
After offering “fateha” for the martyrs who lost their lives in the Israeli aggression, ambassador Moghaddam expressed heartfelt gratitude for Pakistan’s steadfast support, praising the unity shown by the Pakistani government, public, and media.
He extended his appreciation to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for backing Iran at global forums like the United Nations, Security Council, and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
“This consistent support had strengthened bonds between the two brotherly nations,” he added.
He framed Iran’s military and ideological resilience as a divine blessing, stating that the nation had stood firm against the Zionist mindset and aggression.
”This victory among the greatest blessings of Almighty Allah and this war has clearly defined allies and enemies, exposing the true picture of countries like India and Israel to the world,” the envoy added.
At the same time he cautioned that there was a need for unity among the Muslim world, otherwise these oppressors would destroy every country by picking them one by one.
He said: “12 consecutive days of aggression against Iran was not only by the Zionist regime, but also by the US and some European powers openly supported Israel – the root cause of global terror.”
Ambassador Moghadam added, “It was a strategic miscalculation by these powers who had assumed that launching a surprise attack and assassination of key military personnel would leave the Iranian nation defenceless.”
He continued, “Their second target was to assassinate the top political leadership of the country, expecting that it would leave the whole country directionless and they could easily change the whole system with some puppet government.”
He said that the dream of a quick victory faded after the third day and the illegitimate Zionist state had to request the US for a ceasefire after 12th day, “But on our part it was the beginning of the real show of strength.”
Ambassador Moghadam stated that the Iranian nation would“never forget”Pakistan’s sincere love and support.
He called the recent victory a proud symbol of unity, courage, and triumph of truth in the collective memory of the Muslim world.
He said that the people of Pakistan and Iran are bound by deep-rooted religious and fraternal ties which will continue to grow stronger over time.
