At least 18 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military in Gaza since dawn, with dozens more injured, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera Arabic.
The victims include at least 15 people killed when Israeli jets bombed tents housing displaced Palestinians in the al-Mawasi area near the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Another person was killed by Israeli fire while seeking aid near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation distribution point near the so-called Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza.
