Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed his gratitude to Islamabad for solidarity with the Islamic republic during the war with Israel.
“At this historic and momentous juncture, as the great nation of Iran celebrates a dignified and decisive victory — culminating in the imposition of a just and powerful ceasefire upon the belligerent adversary — I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the government and people of Pakistan,” he wrote in a post on X.
“In the face of an unjust and imposed aggression by the Zionist regime(Israel) against the brotherly, friendly, and Muslim nation of Iran,Pakistan stood resolutely and honourably beside us, demonstratingunwavering solidarity and support.”
Dr Moghadam expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, the foreign ministry and other senior politicians, clerics and media outlets for their support.
“My sincere thanks also go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for its consistent and firm support of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various international platforms—including the United Nations, the UN Security Council and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation,” the ambassador added.
“The people and governments of Iran and Pakistan have, throughout history, stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity and fraternity. The people of Iran will never forget this historic expression of brotherhood and support extended by the Pakistani nation.”
Dr Moghadam said that the “landmark victory will be etched into the collective memory of the Muslim Ummah as a lasting symbol of pride, strength, self-belief, courage, and the ultimate triumph of truth over falsehood”.
