PTV head steps down

ISLAMABAD, May 11: Managing director of the state owned Pakistan Television (PTV) Arshed Khan has stepped down and Maj- Gen Rashid Qureshi is likely to replace him, sources said on Thursday.

On contact Mr Khan confirmed his resignation and told Dawn that the prime minister has assured to assign him another job soon. He said his resignation has been accepted, however, he was reluctant to give any specific reason for his resignation.—Staff Reporter
