ISLAMABAD: All departments under the administrative control of the interior ministry will enhance the level of mutual cooperation among them to facilitate the people.

This was decided at a meeting presided over on Wednesday by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Heads of all attached departments of the interior ministry attended the meeting.

The interior minister emphasised that mutual cooperation among all departments was extremely important. He said that all institutions should make full use of each other’s capabilities to bring ease to the lives of the people.

He stressed that timely exchange of information and data was crucial and noted that officers posted in foreign embassies under various departments can also provide help to other institutions of the ministry.

The minister underlined the importance of making full use of human resources of all institutions and said that improved coordination among different departments would benefit both the government and the masses.

Mr Naqvi said that only those officers who fulfilled the merit criteria would be nominated for training courses so that their professional capacity could be enhanced.

He instructed all departments concerned to submit their recommendations in this regard. Based on these recommendations, he said, the federal secretary of interior will prepare a plan and present it to the interior minister.
