Moshe Saada, an MP with the right-wing Likud party, which Netanyahu has led since 1993, has opposed the government’s move to let minimal aid into Gaza, claiming it bolsters Hamas, Al Jazeera reports.
“Providing them with food is effectively giving them ammunition,” Saada told Israel’s Arutz Sheva media.
“It is unacceptable that we send four divisions of soldiers to conquer Gaza and risk their lives, while simultaneously giving Hamas the means to keep fighting.”
