Israel’s deadly bombardment of Gaza continues, with the north of the Palestinian enclave coming under intense assault over recent hours, Al Jazeera Arabic reports.

At least two people have been killed by Israeli artillery shelling targeting areas housing displaced Palestinians in Beit Lahiya.

Israeli attacks have now killed a total of 26 Palestinians since midnight local time (2am PKT), medical sources have told Al Jazeera.
