LAHORE: Sufyan Khan starred for Pakistan as the national hockey team edged out Oman here at the National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

In the first of four-match series against Oman, Sufyan scored a hat-trick while Mohammad Ahmad add one to help Pakistan record a narrow 4-3 victory.

Mohamamd Aashur, Faisal Awada and Usama Ramzan were on target for Oman.

The second match will be played at the same ground on Wednesday. The remaining two matches will be held in Islamabad.
