The Japanese Foreign Ministry says one Palestinian who had been hospitalised in Egypt after suffering injuries and illnesses due to the war on Gaza has been evacuated to Tokyo, Al Jazeera reports.
In a statement, the ministry said the person is being treated at the Self-Defense Forces Central Hospital of the Ministry of Defence.
It said another Palestinian will also be transferred to Japan for medical treatment in the coming days.
“Those Palestinians are supposed to return to their original place after the treatment and not intended to settle down in Japan,” it added.
